KUS Engineering Staff for Plastics Design and Manufacturing

KUS employs mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to support our product development. Our experts each fulfill vital plastics manufacturing roles. Some are focused in CAD design and analysis, others are responsible for conducting detailed Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis. Together, our team ensures that every one of our plastic products is manufactured with sound engineering and design.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Through the use of computer-aided engineering, KUS can provide finite element analysis (FEA) to predict how products react with real-world forces. This analysis is crucial to the manufacturing process, as this step catches material risks that would otherwise jeopardize the entire order further into the production process.

Mechanical Engineering

KUS has a professional R&D team consisting of 6 senior CAE analysis engineers with an extensive background in product development. The KUS CAE analysis R&D team focuses on structural and fluid analysis with more than 20 individual tests including fatigue analysis, dynamic analysis, and thermal stress analysis. During early stages of R&D, KUS products undergo a preliminary CAE analysis and simulation for product structure, performance, and use characteristics. Once this process has been conducted, KUS then proceeds to leverage specific tests that pertain to that unit to ensure the unit meets the rigorous demands of the customer’s application solution.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

KUS uses computational fluid dynamics so that we can better understand product flow within our designs. Through numerical analysis and data structures, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) effectively calculates fluid flow measurements and information. Through the use of computer software, we are able to simulate fluid flow before a product design is even prototyped, saving both time and money.

Electrical Engineering

In addition to extensive mechanical engineering capabilities, KUS is fully equipped for cutting-edge electrical engineering projects. Just as we manufacture def tanks and related equipment using mechanical engineering techniques, we produce the chips that are used with our equipment as well. By designing these chips ourselves, we are able to guarantee a level of quality that would not be possible if the electrical engineering process was outsourced.

Software Engineering

With many years of experience under our belt, KUS writes reliable software for the chips that we manufacture. While KUS uses top-quality software for mechanical validation, our software engineering department is specifically geared towards designing chip software, ensuring that each engineering department is acutely focused on specialized projects. As a company that has a hand in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and software engineering alike, we are able to provide high quality results across every step of the manufacturing process.
