Vehicle Control Unit (VCU)
The Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) is the central hub of electric and hybrid vehicle thermal management systems (TMS). The VCU is pivotal in ensuring efficient, safe, and smooth vehicle operations in an increasingly complex automotive landscape, including integrating autonomous driving features.
It’s the brain behind the scenes, coordinating various components and subsystems like the Engine Control Unit (ECU) in traditional vehicles. Discover how the KUS VCU will power the future of transportation.
Liquid Cold Plate
Liquid cold plates, also called liquid cooling plates, are vital in electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles’ thermal management systems (TMS). They actively manage heat for high-performance components like batteries and fuel cells.
Crafted from thermally conductive materials like aluminum or copper, liquid cold plates efficiently transfer heat from these components to the plate’s surface. The transferred heat is then carried away by the coolant, circulating through the system and dissipating it, often via a heat exchanger—experience efficient temperature control with liquid cold plates for your high-performance components.
Engine & Battery Pack Coolant Lines
Engine battery coolant lines are used in the thermal management system of fuel or electric vehicles. Coolant flow through the pipeline adjusts the engine temperature so that the battery pack can be kept in an optimal operating environment. In addition, the lines heat up quickly, dissipate residual heat, and provide ventilation for the cooling system.
