An Introduction to Aftertreatment Systems
November 24, 2020
The main function of an aftertreatment system is to significantly reduce harmful emissions produced by diesel fuel powered equipment. It does so by targeting certain molecules present after diesel combustion and converting or processing them into less harmful byproducts. The targeted emissions include Particulate Matter (PM), Hydrocarbons (HC) and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) present at different stages of the engine operation. Nowadays, in the US, it is mandatory that virtually all diesel engines are equipped with an aftertreatment system to meet government emissions requirements.

The Engineer’s Guide to Global On-road Emission Regulations
October 27, 2020
An understanding of emission regulations underlies any work that contributes to the manufacture of commercial and industrial vehicles. International standards call for highly effective exhaust after-treatment systems in order to mitigate impacts on air, water, and human health. These regulations are incredibly detailed, complex, and vary by country. Here, we take a look into the broad overview of global emission regulations.
4 Factors That Influence Instrumentation Pricing
October 20, 2020
When you regularly order vehicle instruments and gauges, you probably weigh a lot of factors in your decisions, with price ranking high among them. The cost of individual components can work its way along the manufacturing chain to eventually affect pricing and profits on final products.
Troubleshooting Your Boat’s Fuel Level Sender
September 25, 2020
When you’re out on the water, you want to relax and assume that all of the gauges and components on your boat are working smoothly. However, if you feel like your boat’s fuel gauge is giving inaccurate readings, or worse — you run out of fuel unexpectedly, you might have a problem with your fuel level sender. A marine fuel level sender and fuel gauge work as a unit, but for purposes of this article, we’ll focus on the level sender, helping you diagnose it and replace it if needed, so you can get back to boating.
